Valérie Monsaud, a French photographer and visual artist, was born in St. Marie De Fenouille, France in 1990. She started her career as a fine arts painter, but soon expanded her creative expression into photography.
Monsaud's work is driven by her inquisitive approach to human perception, always aiming to express her personal signature. Since August 2014, she has been documenting the evolution of light onto objects, which has resulted in an extensive series of photographs from her travels to Sweden, Finland, Latvia and Germany. She is also a founding member of The French Assemblée des Imaginaires and has been featured in publications such as Magazine 360, Diaphragmes, Pørsen, CYCLOPS Magazine, Information, Black Tape, High Hat Times, Response, and Internazionale.
In 2021, Monsaud was invited by the Grosshabn Photo Festival to be the curator for the European project IDE. She is the founder of Traces de Lumière, vmphotos, and the nonprofit project Click/Today.
